Ryu, Ken, Sagat, E. Honda, Guile, Chun-Li, Vega, M. Bison, Charlie etc. The Street Fighters are real classics.

Other cool characters not from Capcom include Jack II, Yoshimitsu, Baek and King from The Tekken series, Tarma and Marco from Metal Slug and Mitsurugi, Rock and Taki from Soul Calibur. In fact, I think a thread dedicated to the coolest fighting game character is in order

Many a year ago, i would have nominated sonic the hedgehog for my fave but now, i'd say Cloud and/or Sephiroth[FF7] Zell and Squall[FF8] and in 9...possibly quina, coz she gave me a laugh or two. In Street Fighter2, Ken, And in ex+Alpha i loved using Kairi( mysterious) And Garuda(evil). Final Fight was shyte also....prefered Shinobi or Double Dragon to that tripe also axel from streets of rage was a cool character.

Edge from Rival Schools, and Guile from the SF Series...

They are both very under-used figthers...

Edge is a tallish bloke, with some serious hair problems (Hence it sticking up about a meter high and as sharp at the ends as a kitchen blade) while his clothes are something to be laughed at...

He basically screams and laughs a lot during power moves, usually default for any ingame psychotic, and when he talks it's just one of those wavy, annoyingly funny voices...

Guile on the other hand I love for being such a tough *******... If you can control him right, you'll floor anyone...

Other favourites:

Nash / Charlie (Yep, basically the same as Guile )
Morgan Bernheart - Warhammer (One tough talking bast)
Tree Man - Warhammer (ROFL - CHAARRGGGEEEEE!)
Usebio The Bleak - Warhammer (Possibly my altime fave above the rest)
