Strategy games LAN: Opinions please?

Taking my lead from the topic on this board about strategy games.... I was wondering if we'd have enough interest in running a LAN specifically for strategy games? Chances are it'd be an all night affair in the Dublin area, possibly on a friday night.... could people please post here to indicate if they'd be interested in coming along? If there's enough interest to fill a LAN I'll more than likely put one on, if not there's no point....... Feel free to include any suggestions or opinions also....

/me would give his left Kidney for a 3 Day Civ2 Lan, but unfortunatly this isn't likely to happen.. (Unless someone wants to meet up somewhere for a 3 day bonanza!!)

But I may be interested in a lan involving lesser Strategy games ;P

aoe2 is ok.. but cmon people! Rise of Rome is sooo much better

I say this only because I have only played aok about 5 or 6 times, and I generally end up getting into a long and blood(less?) siege which takes over 6 hours to end
not that it's not fun and all, but after the second game it begins to lose it's appeal

war2 would kick ass! love that game.. played it a few times over kali...

damn, half an hour ago I could have rattled off a long list of cool strat. games that I love.. now I oinly have those 2

oooh, and red alert.. how could I forget that.. that game is so much fun although I'm not sure it should be called "strategy".... the most commom tactic is building an army of tanks and migs and then battling it out until all of them are destroyed

Hey count me in i'm a strat/(any sorta game) nut who would luv to go for a all nigh strat fest......

But dont expect me to play armada my last experiance made me feel like a dog with its tail between its legs

i think 2v2 Starcraft and War2 competetions would rock , on Starcraft map : Blood Bath
and War2 : Nowhere to Run , both small and fun maps
