UK fails to take up broadband

    Just confirmation of, what I suspect, we all knew - broadband uptake in the UK is slow because the price point is too high and the branding is poor (I seem to watch far too much TV and have never seen an advert for it on UK telly, just surftime)

    As you say poor advertising its easy to forget that alot of people even if they are net connected have no idea what broadband is and to be honest their probably better off considering the bs that has gone along with it.Alot of people get a half truth like the nets great they go online for the first time with a poxy 56k modem think well this is a load of crap.Not only that especialy in the uk BT has been so slow in rolling it out thats its not really taken hold.Until its mass market material it will never be viable.Its the same here sept 10 time worse due to there being 10 times less punters and far more space between said punters.
