Personal Planner has one entry stuck

My personal planner has an entry as follows:

Ally McBeal 21/011.43pm A

I can't delete it; it says that "This Box Office programme has been viewed and can not be deleted"

Powering off etc. doesn't work. Its been there for weeks. Any ideas?

If this show works with the series link i would speculate it could have something to do with that.Try a forced download[but remove viewing card first]

Thanks Gopher - I tried that; the download worked fine as described elsewhere on the forum. However, the rogue entry in the planner is still there. Any other ideas anyone?

the forced download worked a treat for me tonight. Talos The Mummy has been stuck in the planner for about 2 weeks until tonight

I don't have a Personal Planner on my menu anyone any idea how I can get this facility?

What is a forced download, what does it do and how do u do it?

A forced download is as the term suggests, forcing a download of the software to your DigiBox.

Unplug your box from the wall. Then press and hold the backup button on the front of the box and plug the box back in at the same time. Hold the button for about 10 secs and eventually a screen will come saying downloading software.
Remember to do this with the SkyCard removed from the box.
Its not recomended to do this too often though, in case it messes up.

I have never got anything stuck in the PP (yet)! But I have read that to remove something from the PP, U must unplug box from mains with card removed. Reboot the box again (still without card). Then repeat above and the entry in PP should be gone. U can now replace card.

Yep, should do. Post what version of the EPG your running and we can let you know the version you should be on.
Should be in Services-system details.

The EPG version I'm on is 2.7a.2* does this help? and if it is wrong how do I change it? thanks for your help BNC

you should be on 2.7bb.5*. do this..

The box will power off when it has finished downloading. you then put the card back in and power it back on. by default it will say searching for listings and go to ch998. you should be in business then.

Will: I tried two successive downloads and it worked. Thanks for the suggestion. We're not big PP users, but it was really annoying me.
