    Last night getting the train home, I bumped into a girl I've not seen for about 14 years... The first Girlfriend. This was the first girl I was ever serious about, each other's "first" for everything (& I do mean everything)

    It was a little weird seeing her. She was with a guy, no idea if they were "together" but they seemed close.

    We were approaching the station exit from different ends of the platform & at about 15 feet away, we made eye contact, I smiled, she smiled & with the briefest of movements of her head I knew not to acknowledge her in front of him.

    I went on my way, thinking how strange that two people who could be so close in their teens could be so distant in their 30s...

    Yeah lifes like that. I tend to shrug people off that i know reasonably well, as sometimes i really cant be bothered to donate any of my time for meaningless chit chat regardless of whom they are.

    same thing happened to me a while back .. weird .. got a flush of memories for a while but then again .. it all faided . its even worse with ppl who were ur best friends .
