Is anyone going to the national fees demo tomorrow?, USI are saying that 10000 students will be marching on the dail

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

They TD's all seem to use an auto-reply ..... we'll have to all queue up outside their offices and complain personally if we're gonna be listened to :(

A lot of people in my class would love to be in Dublin protesting today, but we have 5 end of year projects due up between now and Friday week and an exam this Friday.
Hope loads of people turn up and make people listen.

Well the march is presumably underway at this very moment. Just looking around me and the library is full of students. So is the cantine and there are also plenty of people going about their business in the rest of the college.

I can't really comment on the blatant apathy that I've just illustrated because I'm clearly part of it.

Just making the point. I don't know what else to say! And if someone plans on giving out to me for being so uncaring and not taking part on the protest then go ahead, but I already know myself. And I'm sorry.

A lot of people may even be taking the opportunity to get a cheap trip to dublin. It's only €4 return up from Galway for the protest.

If the turnout is low I'll feel a lot less sympathy next year if fees are reintroduced. People seem to forger that they're responsible in part for the Government being there and thinking that they can push students around. Apathy abounds.

"Bend over- the Government want to **** you"
My favourite poster from the protest yesterday....
Didn't like the amount of socialist posters....
Felt the WIT SU Pres made the best speech, and fair play to all the smaller colleges coming up to Dublin. Some classic posters yesterday.... we really are a funny bunch....!!! Let's hope Colm Jordan gets this sorted..
