Used to be on Sky one 6 o'clock
remember a character called "big boy barry"
and jet from gladiators used to give out cheats on it.

    Gamesmaster? I think.

Barry was eating a sandwhich when a friends computer chip landed in it, He was given superhuman gaming powers.

Didnt look like that when he was playing though!, he was constantly losing to 12 year olds.

    "GamesWorld".

There was also a related GamesWorld magazine, though I'm not sure which came first.

Most of the presenters also appeared in MicroMachines2/'96, I think.

That was pretty good tbh. Every night was different (Mon-Fri) with reviews on Tuesday. Jet from Gladiators was on the cheat show from what i remember (with your man barry). Way before its time imo shame there's nothing like it around now. It made gamesmaster look like the the utter pants it was:D

Yeah why isnt there anything like that anymore ?
I used to also like watchin "head to head" on TCC in the mornings
presented by Violet Brown (i think) who was also the presnter of a games show on Utv called "Bad Influence" which at the end while instead of credits had cheats running really fast at the end and u needed to slowmo ur video to watch them. class idea.
only games program i can think of nowaddays is bits.
really late night on ch 4 not sure if its still on ?

presented by Violet Brown (i think)

That'll be Violet Berlin djste. You can catch her presenting 'Gamepad' on Trouble these days.

Do you remember the plight of the young nerds asking questions of Patrick Moore's distorted head on Gamesmaster....

"Gaaamethmaaathter, how do oi compweet level four of Jameth Pond on the Amiga?"

I bemoan the lack of a good computer games programme on tv these days. :(

I remember that head to head thing all right. They always played Street fighter 2 or Ice Hockey games. I Haven't seen Bits on in ages and it was a bit crap tbh:)

But what about RTE's fine latest offering with Kevo? Doesn't that fulfill all your gaming needs? I MEAN "TEN THUMBS UP!"

    :p

    thank you god for sarcasm

"Dis game is fookin Rapeh, and so i give ih ten tums up, riii buds!"

would be the most obvious translation of KEVO's brilliant gaming knowledge...and anatomical knowledge.
