Yesterday I thought I had 16grand in my hand ...
after listening to the radio in work and talking with the others, my self and my boss thought we had it sorted out ...
so out we headed with I heads full of Ideas ...
after failing to find the Fugitive we rang back to the shop and double checked the clue and to see if any thing had been said on the radio ... as we where taking I noticed some one who looked a little odd... and he noticed me see him, and he heard us talking about the clues, then he started to edge away ... so I followed him a little and he started to walk off ...
I let him go and he stops in the door of a disused shop ... so I'm thinking this is the guy ... so we walk up and ask him ...

he looks down ... takes out an envelope and hands it to us ... then runs for it ... I ran after him but I was too crap and slow ...
head back to the shop, and open the letter, its said "You have found me ... Call 1850 XXX XXX and ask for XXXXX"

we could'nt get through to the number and so ring 98fm on there normal number ... and tell ask them whats going on ... they said "nope mate you've been had ... thats not the number and not the pass word ... hahaha"

long story short ... there's someone out there acting as the fugitive, to the point of having done up fake notes and standing around waiting for people to ask ...

    ARHHHHHHHHHHHH
    Kiffer

That's pretty bloody funny actually. No offence.

I had figured the one for the square (nobody got that, wtf?) but had no means of getting there at the time - so bah :(.

How much longer does the competition run for?

Reminds me of the times my friends and I used to do "cashcalls"...taking turns to be the DJ/producer. Surprisingly enough most people didn't get it, but occasionally one or two people woild "get it right". Poor sods are probably still waiting for the cheques.

We had very boring lives when we were 14 :p

"Reminds me of the times my friends and I used to do "cashcalls"..."

Har har, I used to do that a few years ago - it was sometimes fun. Then one day I actually got a real cashcall at my house... bah, there was some justice when I realised I didn't have a clue of the total.

Kiffer - perhaps 98 are throwing out one or two suspicious looking decoys just to keep people like you off the scent. Underhand? Sure. But when people like you start complaining about it - 98 and their competition get publicity.

I happened to be Boots Liffey Valley last Tuesday(?). I also happened to be in full biker gear and the clue was something along the lines of "He's in Liffey Valley buying shampoo". One of the women working there ran up to me and was dead certain she had found the fugitive. The confusion on my face (I don't listen to the radio, so I had no idea what was going on) only added to her belief. Of course once I just said "eh, nnnoooooo......." she became very embarrassed :D Brightened up my day.

I got asked as well, by about four ****ing people.

Didn't have a clue what was going on, never listen to the radio, it got annoying after a while.

Someone explained that one of the clues was "Eye of the Storm" or some shíte. Which explained all these gormless planks hanging around outside Met Eireann HQ where I work.

yeah I know that feeling been asked like 20 times in the past week alone, and most of the time its by kids - half tempted to tell them its for over 18s only :)

but some of the clues are just baffling, example

    HANGING AROUND TWO LITTLE DUCKS

mean the Fugitive was in CLONDALKIN (DUBLIN 22), according to the 98 FM website - my question how in the blue hell does ducks relate to Clondalkin?

I got warned by my principle to a). watch out for people asking me was I the futigitive, and b). To keep an eye out for him (he was in the area and i tend to look quite... odd... so people might think I'm him). It was really freaky though when these kids came up to me and asked me "Are you the fugitive?" Hadn't a clue and the lass i was hanging with hadn't either. Freaked both of us out for bout ten minutes until we copped on...

    Stupid 98FM.
