I was just wondering if anyone remembers that cool show?? Also anyone have any videos of it or downloads ?

My brother was a fan. They showed the episodes on Channel 4 a couple of months back at about 3a.m. He might still have some on tape.

I remember that show, twas on C4 pretty regularly around the same time the X files was nearing its popularity peak.
imo it was a great show that should have been a lot more successful than it was. good storyline etc.

havnt seen it in a tv guide for a long time tho, maybe someone with that new fangled "digital" thinga-ma-bob might be able to check if its being replayed on one of the many channels.

Wasn't Jeri Ryan a.k.a. Seven of Nine from Voyger in that? For some reason I seem to remember her in it.

dark skies sucked. although the main blokes missus was pretty fine. thats about as profound as i can get on a friday night.

it really was terrible. the one with the supposed young colin powel was funny. what about "aliens against vietnam", give us a break

and the nail polish remover into your brain thing :rolleyes:

I am desperate to watch the series again as i thought it was brilliant, so I emailed the sci-fi channel to see if they were going to repeat it, heres's what they wrote back.

Dear Paul,

At this time we do not have any plans to show the series "Dark Skies",
as we no longer hold the rights to the show. Following our first
transmission of the show back in 1995, I do not have any information
regarding who currently holds the rights to this series.

I wll however log your request & will pass it on for future
consideration.

It was rubbish. I like sci-fi but it was pure s**t. It had the potential to be ok but the stroylines were pretty crap and the charactors were so stupid it wasn'y funny.

The series "Taken" that is currently on is a continuation (or more spin off) of Dark Skies, set some years in the future.

It remeber it being on, and know it lasted but one season. I enjoyed it at the time, the way historical and scifi elements blended together. The final episode, resolved some issues and left others unfinished.

I sent TV3 an email about their screening of dark skies, this is what they sent back . .. .
