I'm going to be getting a big game of flashpiint going at GalwayLAN5 in april and I'd like to know beforehand how many people have Resistance for flashpoint, as 1.60 isn't exactly cutting edge.

Do you have OPFlash:Resistance Add-on Pack? 4 votes

    I don't

In fact the last time I played opflash was at the last gl(unfortunatly)

If you tell me what files are needed I will burn a cd that all can use for installing the game updates

    Aye, I'll compile a list.
Tbh, unless everyone has resistance we're stuck with version 1.6, which isn't as good as resistance.
Tis well worth the ~20 quid for the add-on.
I'm going to try and set it up in college, hopefully get a crew down here playing it.

If worst comes to worst at the lan we can always rely on 1.6 or crack the add-on ;)

I got it, but I don't have Red Hammer. Shouldn't matter, right?

    Yeah, doesn't matter.
You can go past Version 1.2 without red hammer.
To go to 1.75+ you need resistance though.
Currently running at 1.90 official and 1.91 beta.

    fair play :

Should have a good game going at the next lan so.

Anyone care to reccomend some good maps ye've played?
I've had no net access to my gaming machine recently and it's a pain in the arse to go bringing stuff home bit by bit so I've not been able to keep track of the good missions.

Stuff with a fair few vehicles, CTF prehaps, and quick unlimited respawns :)

    I now have resistance :)

well, I have just started it so I am not that far into it

I really wish that i was good at commanding the computer players. it would make it so much easier

Are you using the function keys?
    makes everything nice and quick.
Mess around with throwing them into trucks
you soon get the hang of it.
Tis an important skill for multiplayer, allows the commander to assign targets to his teammates and help them out (what you think the binoculars are for? :) )

Yes I am using the function keys and, yes, I also use the binoculars. Its just the whole co-ordination thingy. Or maybe, its just that the computer guys can't do what I do. Like the ambush mission(its one of the first ones) Its a serious amount of hassle to set them to hold fire, target each vehicle, co-ordinate them to fire as you do, and then get them to clean up the mess. Where as on multiplayer you could just shout over to whoever is with you and just shout.

    "shouting" - I like it :)

You just take your time, and repeat the mission till you get it right, the early ones are easy enough so you can take your time to practice with the commands.

Do you know of a site that deals specificly with multiplayer missions? The usual ones I go to are either rather limited or have a load of rather crappy maps in Czech/East european language.

I actually had a good laugh today. One of my mates from college came out to the house for some 1 on 1 opflash goodness. It was pretty good, though my skills(or lack thereof) of controling the AI players was pretty poor.

As for multiplayer maps, tbh I have no idea. I was hoping that you would have an idea :)

At the moment I am thinking of getting up to 4 people from my class out to the house for some dedicated opflash action!!
