    I'm going to San Fran in June on a J1 and am looking for accomodation and a job. anyone been there know of any places, tips, advice?

    This isn't going to be any help, but I've only be there on holidays. It's a fantastic place. If I had to live in the US it'd be in San Francisco (or maybe NY :))

    82,000 people have lost their jobs in CA since Jan 2001, so I'm not sure what the job situation is like over there at the moment. It's a very touristy town so there should be a lot of summer jobs.
