The Skeptical Environmentalist is a book by Bjorn Lomborg. Has anybody read it? Or even any knowledge of it.

Nope, but, if you buy it and read it, I'll swap an Ian M Banks book for a week or two, for the same.

    excellent book.
I would describe myself as an avide envirnmentalist. While this book does show that alot of what was ment to happen hasn't it should have hammered home the fact that it IS happening.

Global warming is a fact and Bjorn does accept that. Just because it isn't as dramatic as it was thought to be in the 60s doesn't mean that we can neglect it.

Banning him from the Scientific community was alittle too much.

I've not ready the book but I've heard the author on radio a few times, he seems to take a right-wing economics approach, beliving that the market will fix the problem and that the worse case senario wont ever happen. Trouble is it might...

    Mike.
