    Online Game Rental

Sound goods. I'd certainly d/l the full game legally for $2 for 2 days usage.

You can then buy the full game if you want.

Won't appear in Ireland for a long time to come though.

I'm not aware of freeloader, but the other company opening is offering full versions of the game which are new out.

free loader lets you d/l a part of a game......take GTA, it lets you get the first level and then so on. its not very good. they buy the games from the vender and set up a type of account with them so they can let people d/l it for free

Not really practical over here until we get download speeds that justify spending the money.

Also cack. There's something not quite right about legally downloading games from the internet, especially when the illegal versions are of better quality eek.gif

Buy the f*cking games you thieving ba$tards.

Freeloader et al are cool ideas actually; once broadband becomes more widespread, I expect them to do really well. Thankfully the Warez scene is imploding on itself; there are very few "decent" warez sites left, and the newsgroups are getting hit by anti-piracy folk regularly. Warez will never go away, but it'll become a lot less widespread, and soon.

Yes it's true, warez is still easy to find ... not that I was looking for any! And games ISO, divx movies, dreamcast and playstation ISOs and lots of porn all very common in private FTPs these days. You will find more private FTPs appearing as more high speed connections are available.

I don't see how the rental thing will work. People can download demos if they want to try out a game before they buy it. And this only means warez will be easier to find. There'll be lots of clever lads out there making cracks for it so you jus go to the Online Game Rental place to download game, get the crack and instant warez.
