I went to see it when in the US.

TBH I thought it was an "ok" film. Some parts I found incredibly tedious/badly-written/slightly cliched and some parts were reasonably OK, and one in particular was superb.

However, saying that they do quite a good job building tension leading up towards the end. That, I will admit, was extremely well done, and you'll find yourself waiting and wondering what's going to happen.

I would not say run out and see it but on the other hand I wouldn't tell people to avoid it at all costs. It was a fairly passable way to spend some time.

saw it last night at the gate.

quite a good film. im sure oscars will be given, even though he in NO WAY deserves one.

the most pleasing thing about it was the way the story progresses. it didnt seem to be too short like so many action films, and not overly long. at a steady pace, with content to keep you interested right the way through

    go see it

saw it last night. i felt the build up was too long and then it all ended rather suddenly. definitely worth seeing tho. battle scenes were the best

Yup watched it last night in Ster Century and the film started off good enough but the ending was pretty crap IMO.

My one (small) gripe is that sometimes the dialogue is drowned out by the soundtrack.... you can't hear everything they're saying.

Other than that it was enjoyable stuff. Well worth seeing.

Absolutely!! It was very difficult to hear in parts. Of course, I went to see it in Waterford Omniplex and as usual the picture was aligned wrong so about 8 inches of it was off the screen and the sound was up so loud that it was crackling and ruined the film.
Otherwise, I enjoyed it, thought Eminem held his own and Mekhi Pfeiffer was very good too!

I like the film, didn't think I would. The film reminded me of a Diseny film, only with an 18 cert and set in the hood!

Saw it last night. Loadsa people are moaning about the ending and saying among other things that he shoulda met Dre or that he shoulda sang Lose Yourself.
I liked the way the ending wasnt too climatic. It trailed off nicely so you knew that he was headed out on his own and that he had the talent.

worth a watch if ya like eminem but tbh it was very boring, the end wasent bad, some clever lyrics in there thats about it!!

saw it yesterday, hadnt been expecting much because I'm not really in to his kinda music so I really didnt know what to expect! having said that I enjoyed it, as to the oscars, he'll be nominated but he won't get it, because the academy wont vote for him!

I did think he was pretty good though, I mean he played the part of the caring big brother type very well and he was consistent throughout the film. A friend of mine said it was a coming of age type film and id be inclined to agree, you can see him not so much maturing but developing right throughout the film.

On a completely different issue, 4euro just to see the battling!

He was playing himself. Since when is that a great acting performance?

If it is, someone, please, give me an Oscar. I do it daily :P

it's a good film, not a great film.

Eminem acts fairly well, only cos he's playin himself really (a rapper!!!).....wait till we see him play another role, then we'll see if he has any acting talent

there's no way he'll get an oscar for it.....thats a joke

overall, its fun to watch, helps if u like hip-hop, if u dont its still worth a watch
