I have a A7V8X motherboard with 2000xp sapphire radeon 9700pro 512mb ddr WIN2000 I have installed the ASUS pc Probe monitor software.
all are working fine in windows when I tryed to run Soldier of fortion 2 it cept crashing out and the pc probe was indecatint that my voltage was too high on +12 so I rang tec support for th graphics card they said that I need to get the latest drivers so I did. Then I ran Sof again and was playing it until suddenly my power supply died. I install a new power supply 350W my old power supply was 300W. I still have the same problem when I try to play Sof. Can any body please tell me how to fix this problem.

The problem with voltage monitoring software giving false alarms has popped up a few times now in the last few weeks. Basically, the motherboard manufacturer should make sure that the software is setup correctly out of the box, but this seems to be neglected.
Its ok for your voltage lines to be + or - 5%, you may need to change the high and low limits in the software.

I'm not sure why sof2 is crashing, as elexes said, make sure you have the extra power connector for the graphics card plugged in. Try other games and see if they crash also. Ensure you have the latest drivers for graphics card, motherboard, etc, could just be a bug in the ati drivers.

All the connections are rightincluding power to graphics card fan I ajusted the monitor software and played sof2 once but in the middle of the game the powersupply blew. A freind said that I might need a higher wattage powersupply ie 450. I do have a lot of extras in my computer like creative sound interface which needs power connected too. Also I will ring motherboard manifactures on Monday to see if they know how to solve my problem. my +12 is running @ 12.576 in windows 2000 and when I run big aplications it increases to 12.90 around that
