    FORWARD THE REVOLUTION

Forward The Revolution is the first of number of tours in 2003 to introduce four bands at the cutting edge of Cork independent music to the Irish gig circuit, beginning with Fred, The Rulers of the Planet, Rest and Army Dreamers.

Fred are an upbeat indie quintet whose 2002 release, 'Cant Stop I'm Being Timed' saw them consolidate their place at the top of the Cork live scene. Fresh, humourous and musically gifted, if Fred were a person they would be the life and soul of the party.

Rest are a four-piece whose electrifying instrumental post rock has been blowing the rooftops off venues in Cork and Limerick over the last 6 months - one to watch out for in 2003.

Army Dreamers, featuring ex-cyclefly drummer Jean Michel Cavello, are gaining the attention of press and music insiders alike for their subtle arrangements and lucisious lyrics, fuelled by Vicky Frahill's mesmerising vocals.

Rulerz Of The Planet formed from the ashes of Cork legends, The Shanks and Semi. Lead singer Barry MacAuliffe, or the 'leeside messiah' as he has been dubbed, is one of the most innovative frontmen to emerge from a vibrant emerging Leeside scene.
