Quad LNBs

I'm about to switch from CHORUS to SKY, and had intended to get a quad lnb installed, so that when mirrored sub finally comes in to ROI, I'll be ready.

The place I went to order, the assistant had no idea what a quad lnb was, so I asked her for the number of the guy who would be doing the installation. WhenI rang, he said "you can't do that".
Then he said "I can't get them". Then he said he could run the four cables from the single lnb to my four TV points, and whenever the mirrored sub comes in (or when I get another digibox & ftv card) I canjust get the quad lnb then.

My own knowledge is beng stretched a bit here - really I'm looking for a bit of advice on the best setup to go for, in order to ensure I dont have to backtrack later.

    Thanks,

    Michael.

Well it's maybe best to wait until Sky+ comes in until you get Quad LNB as it comes with the Sky+ box AFAIK. Otherwise look here if you would like to buy one seperately.

Well, if you are looking for one as part of the installation package with Sky, then they wont. Getting an installer to put up a quad LNB is not part of a standard Irish install, you could only do it as a normal private deal. Like Irishbyte said, it might be best to wait, and get the value out of what they give you, and when Sky are ready for mirror subs down here, give your installer a call.
