I dunno, the standard of new year's eve parties is always variable. You can be fairly sure though that the more effort that goes into arranging a party, the more it sucks.

Last year about 10 of us got locked and binned in an apartment and spent the night talking crap and singing songs. Great laugh.

Millennium Eve we went to a big party, but getting home was far more fun. We decided to walk home (from Shankill :)) because taxis were in short supply, and 5 hours later, after about a bottle of assorted spirits each, we got to carysfort ave, and managed to get a taxi. :D Best laugh.

Other than those two, New Year's eves have always sucked @ss.

Normally i would go to a house party or something similar but this year im going to Dakota in town. There's an interesting thing on there, sort of a Music-Comedy mix with The Redneck Manifesto and David O'Doherty. David Kitt will also be there playing DJ.
Sounds a little different to your usual ****e so im looking forward to it.
