Hi I haven’t posted in ages!
I was watching South Park on Sky one a few minutes ago. And now Sky Plus sponsors it! So does this mean that we’ll have it here soon?

    Nope.
We are foreign, $ky only want to make money here, they don't want to provide new services like this to foreigners like us as it would be loss making.
Their interactive services on the other hand bleed money out of Ireland, or so they think.
Thats the only reasoning i can come up with for now, for the delay or non arrival of Sky plus here

i saw tonight that it also sponsors Malcolm In The Middle. this really pisses me off now. Sky+ or the mirror subscription would be very welcome and badly needed (in my house at least). i just wish that Sky would take the finger out

A very pleasant sky tech support operator attempting to find info about the buggy upgrade to my panasonic decoder said they were waiting themselves until the new year to get sky + as it is rumoured there may be a new model early next year. They emphasised that it is a rumour, not confirmed even to staff but maybe that's why the Irish launch was again postponed. I don't think so, I reckon $ky suck and that's it and since they are depriving me of the WWE special retrospective in January I hope they get dysentry.

I've been sent a sample of a product called phantom PVR that has some of the features of Sky +. Please check it out and let me know if you think it would be useful.

At a glance it will be no use for me when I eventually get my system installed in the Summer.

I was looking at getting Sky+ or an alternative to allow me access Dolby Digital in the movie package. Recording isn't that much of an issue with me.

    Sorry about that, Tony.
