Which look do you go for?

Putting sound, tone, style of music etc aside, what style in terms of looks do you prefer in terms of the guitars you play?

For me, none other than the Les Paul!

I love both my guitars ! I wouldnt want to upset one..by saying I prefer it to the other. Jesus I have to put them in different rooms playing one or the other so they dont think im cheating on them..

by "spikey heavy metal stuff" you basically mean Explorers and Flying V's? thats dumb, cause they are the only two common shapes of "spikey metal" guitars you can get. Mocking Bird might also fit in there...

wouldnt it be so cool to design the next really popular guitar shape, the next explorer or les paul or warlock........

I was thinking more of the BC Rich guitars and the ones that are just completely outragous. I don't think I'd put Flying Vs and Explorers in that category. I forgot about those ones. I'll see if I can change it.

You forgot to include superstrats, like Ibanez Rgs and Jems, in the poll. I couldn't say their's a particular type of guitar I go for, but the next guitar I get (which will probobly be in about 5 years time

) will probobly be a guitar with a hardtail bridge like an Explorer (or X-plorer as Gibson seem to be calling them these days) or a Les Paul

That's what I've got, only in black.
Doesn't seem too spikey or outrageous to me.

Also, the Warlock is probably the best known BC Rich shape, isn't it?

I think a Warlock, or a Bich is as spikey as I'd tend to go for.

Used to be a Strat man. Have a Squire and a Mexican standard. Then I bought me a shiny new Epiphone LP stanard and I have to say HOLY BLURKING SCHNIDT. I loiks them a wee bit more now. Although the Ibanez RGT-42 is fairly snarly!
