Films hacked up with a news-chainsaw

So I was there watching the mildly beautiful Sandma Bollock on speed II. It just started getting into the film when the news came on. Half an hour of news cuts up the film only twenty minutes after it starts. That is one thing that bugs the hell out of me.

Is it just me? Am I the only one that gets bugged by it? I really really hate how (ITV mainly) these channels put the news on half way through a film.

Network two are consistent offenders, the Thursday movie is always chopped in two. BBC 1 have done it as well, they also chop up thier own drama premiers. A real bummer (not that Speed 2 is worth watching anyway except for the very end!)

this always pisses me off, i normally end up changing channels & watching something else, then forgetting to watch the end of the film

UTV are the worst offenders but not as if utv have ever shown any good films usually robo-cop three or something worse!

Yeah seen that happen a good few times. Got Sky digital why the movies package so watch alot of movies on that, seen most of them now though. Sky one is getting some alright movies on it sometimes. Saw Dragon the Bruce lee story there last night it was good.

It's infuriating alright and to make things worse it's a trend back towards doing that. UTV, BBC and even Network 2 had stopped doing it to such a degree for ages. Now it's back to ruining good viewing.
