Help with mail on 7650

    I received a little leaflet with my phone telling me how I can check e-mail with the mailbox button in messages menu.
    I've misplaced it - doh

    can anyone tell me how??

    also I mailed myself a picture

    i went into vodafone live -> messages -> email -> inbox
    and viewed a mail I sent myself, i had a jpg attachment, but it appeared as .bin attachment ... anyone know how I can get my picture back??

    heres what I did:

    go to messaging -> options -> settings -> email -> mailboxes -> options -> new mailbox

    then you can put in all the settings for email address there. Then you can go back to the main messaging menu and select options connect and your email box should be updated.

    have you tried just changing the extension and opening it with browser/graphics prog?

    I couldn't find where to say : open attachment or save attachment etc

    hi - accessing your Vondafone email inbox through the WAP Service (i.e. Vodafone Live!) will only display the plain text included in the email

    if you want to get to your picture you need to:

    1) from your PC go to www.vodafone.ie log into "My Vodafone" and check your Vodafone email address where you will be able to view the .jpg attachment

    2) from your PC set up you Vodafone email account in your email client - and download the mail (plus attachments) to your PC

    3) from your 7650 set up your Vodafone email account in the Messaging tool on the phone. to use this you need to be able to connect to the "full internet" not just WAP

    are you a post-pay (Monthly Billing) or pre-pay ReadyToGo customer?

    of you are post-pay you can do this via a regular dial-up call (CSD), High Speed Data (HSCSD) or the ISP GPRS access point - if you have one of these configured already then just choose it when you create your Vodafone pop mailbox on your 7650. if you haven't you need to have access for HSCSD or GPRS ISP set-up and configured for your account beforehand - call 1850 287 000 for Vodafone Data Support

    pre-pay can only choose CSD at the moment, they hoped to have GPRS ISP access for ReadyToGo at some stage this month though (last time I checked), or you can call 1850 287 000 for an update

    to access Vodafone email off the website (i.e. on your PC email client, PDA or or 7650):

    pop (incoming) server: pop.vodafone.ie
    smtp (outgoing) server: mail.vodafone.ie

    username: your vodafone email address
    password: your "my vodafone" password

    and a connection through GPRS ISP, CSD or HSCSD
