hi - you need to be set up with access to live.vodafone.com - if you haven't called vodafone yet - you need to give them a ring and press the option for Vodafone Live - they will set up up with access to the Live! service

they can also email or fax out the setup instructions to you

or if you have done all that and just need the settings for the Live Service!

Main Menu - Tools - Settings - Connection - Access Points

Option - New Access Point - Use Default Settings

    Conn Name: Vodafone Live!
    Data Bearer: GPRS
    Access Point Name: live.vodafone.ie
    User name: dublin
    Password: dublin
    Authentication: Normal
    Gateway IP address: 10.24.59.100
    Homepage: http://live.vodafone.com/
    Connection Security: Off
    Session Mode: Permanent

Press Back until you get to the main menu

    Main Menu - Services

    Options - Settings

    Default Access Point: Vodafone Live!
    Show Images: Yes
    Text Wrapping: On
    Font Size: Normal
    Cookies: Reject
    Conf. DTMF sending; Always

    Press Back

Vodafone Live! will be top of the list

    no worries

you don't need any Advanced Settings for a WAP access point - you would use these if setting up an Internet access point to do POP/IMAP email or full Web browsing (over GPRS ISP/Internet or Dial-up CSD/HSCSD connection) - usually the phone's IP is left dynamic and you enter in the Primary and Secondary name server with the DNS (name server) details supplied by the ISP/Operator
