Not really complaining, but when this was suggested a while back, it was denied because ppl would be giving false advice to others, harming their pets. Was this considered? Though, I must say, knowing a little bit myself, that the moderaters here know their stuff. You can pull up that old thred if u want, it was in admin I think. Good luck!

I don't think anyone here is under the illusion anyone here is a qualified veterinarian. If someone asks advice, it is usually fairly simple and straight forward. Like "what kind of dog should I get" or "where can I buy xx product for my pet".

Any medical or serious questions are answered in a in-my-experience kind of way. So far every question of that nature has been met with "You should be speaking to a vet about this".

I don't foresee any problems, or anyone asking how to do a home-study operation on their pooch. Just like if someone on the Personal Issues board thinks they have might have a tumour, no one is going to tell them how to fix it, only to get to a doctor asafp.
    Not really complaining, but...
The subject line seems to indicate otherwise

Anyways, meself and Richie here will keep a tight leash (har har) on things.

    p.s. Wohoo! Didn't even notice I hit 1000 posts.

Shaman-As Koneko has said we are not vets but will try to help in any way that we can.Ive personally been keeping all manner of pets since I was young and now Im involved with an animal rescue group. And you can see my latest pet on a different thread!!!!!!!

I know a fair amount of people involved in animal welfare/pets etc and a lot of times these will help out with a topic if I make a call to them.
For example someone last week was looking for a Reptile Vet.i made a call and had answer in a matter of minutes.
So we`ll try and help to the best of our abilities and Ill take your comments as a compliment.Although as Koneko says I thought it was a complaint.
Any feed back is always welcome!!
    Richie
