Interest Rates

Any opionions on what we'd like the ECB to announce on interest rates? The UK has kept on hold at 4% so if there's a cut here it will create a big difference between us and our nearest neighbour as well as risk a complete overcooking of the Irish housing market.

    Ideas?

Well, they've done it anyway. Cut to 2.75%, down half a point.

That's a good decrease, I spoke to my bank manager this morning, and he was forecasting a .25% decrease in rates.
Although a .5% drop in the ECB rate does not guarantee a drop in AIB's (or anyone else) rate.
