not sure about how good it is but I've heard Andorra is very cheap compared to other places for skiing.

Have you thought about Scotland? It's pretty good and cheap but visibility isn't always the best.

Some lads i know actually went to Bulgaria a couple of years back! They dont recommend it!! Only went there because it was so cheap, but they say it was absolutely ****e. The plane nearly fell apart on the way over too! Andorra cant be that expensive because my cousins going over in January and hes a ****ing pauper!

The main Bulgaria and Andorra resorts are grand for beginners and novices... neither offer much in the way of advanced runs.
Both have decent enough snowfall, but the one time I went to Bulgaria, it didnt snow for the first 5 days, so was a tad icey... Andorra I've been to three times, powders generally been quite decent, and would definitely reccomend it, cheap duty-free shopping (and in €s now), enjoyable nightlife in some of the resorts, and a decent range of wide long runs, as I mentioned above though, experienced skiers might be a bit bored, altho heli-sking is available as well.
    Neither are big snowboarding destinations.

Go in January or February, they're pretty much the cheapest times of the year iirc.
