TV remote problems

    Kids got their hands on the Sky remote and remvoed the batteries so it lost the TV settings.

    Went to change it whilst drunk (bad idea) i put in the wrong code and now the Sky remote only changes station and volume.
    (this gets worse)

    I hit TV away from Digibox and hold red and select and nothing happens no blinky lights.

    So no the TV is stuck on TV ,the TV remote is long dead and i cant hit AV to watch Sky/watch DVD /play nintendo .

    help plz :)

    Take batteries out for ages... (1 hr)


    THEN
    Read SkyDigbox manual when sober, put batteries in and put correct code.

    OR
    see www.satcure.co.uk (someplace on Martin pickerings site) for more info on Sky remote codes.

    Got it working kinda but now all buttons other that 1,2,3 change the AV.

    I hit Tv Guide whilst watching sky it goes to AV3 then S video the Av1 then AV2 (sky ) and the Tv guide is showing.

    So SKY button changes Av ,Tv guide ,interatctive ,box office ,services ,the help button the back up button etc:

    its posssesed.

    Something similar happened to me m8 i just rang sky and told them the problem and the next day there was a sky repair man at my door with a remote control for free.........

    Remove batteries from remote. Put them somewhere you'll find them again in the morning. Go to bed.

    When you get up in the morning, the remote should have dropped it's memory and, when you put the batteries back in, will only work the digibox. Re-program it to operate your TV.

    Sorry to bump this up, but has saved me a lot. head has been wreaked with the sky remote not working the tv, everyone's been taking remotes from each others rooms hehe
