    Hi folks,

I see that dixons are selling this player this weekend for €199 with 2 free DVDs. Its multi-region (allegedly) and plays MP3 CDs.

Has anyone got one? Recommended or avoid like the plague?

    - Dave.

    I haven't got it myself (got a Marantz 4100OSE) but in What Hi-Fi, it's given a 4 star rating.

    Comments in the mag are:

Affordable way into big name home cinema. No hack and better with films than music.

Seems to be ok based on that.

    Hi Dave,

Sony generally make very good DVD's. Only drawback is there are not easy (remote) hacks for them. I'd double check the "multiregion" before buying - but it is a very good price. Also check richersounds for the Pioneer Dv-350. Excellent DVD and 5 stars from whathifi.
