    http://my.oceanfree.net/sms/iol/login2.html

AFAIR you can send to o2, vodaphone, and meteor from there, but you have to register.

You know you get 30 texts a month with vodafone from www.e-merge.ie?

Yep, e-merge is pretty handy at times, only sends to 087's though.

ICQ can send texts, i had a lot of fun with it.....

Does anyone know about the message centre number that allows you to send unlimited free texts?

I have been trying for weeks to send msg's with my ICQ but it never works...
    anyone help...?

Right click the persons name you want to text in your contact list, click Contact Details, enter his/her phone number if it's not already there (enter the Country, dont bother with area code and drop the leading 0 from the number i.e. 871234567 rather than 0871234567), save changes, right click contacts name again, hit SMS, type message, click send...

    ...Ta da.

You should get a message saying "SMS was sent using O2/Vodaphone/Meteor/etc" in the message window if its sent successfully.

does the other Person need to have ICQ? or could u make them a fake account and send the text in anyway?

well with icq it only works with 086/087

085 is yet to be set up..

and no they dont have to have icq for you to recieve sms, and they can reply back to your computer that is while you are online :)

Vodafone have moved e-merge over www.vodafone.ie now.

Annoying the way it's only 30 Messages a month to 087 phones. It would be nice if they'd give you delivery reports to your phone for those 30.
