Hi a friend of mine today, said I can upgrade an IMAC using standard pc SDRAM or DDR ram, is this true? Also if you put sdram instead of ddr ram on a Mac will it make a difference, or wont it due to the Macs architecture?
    thanks

I find the easiest way to figure out what kind of RAM can go into a given machine is to use the crucial site http://www.crucial.com/. You can then either buy what you need from crucial themselves or read off the module type & spec. and buy elsewhere.
