ISIC/travelsave stamps

    Hi all,

I heard that Irishrail may have changed the way that the ISIC cards with travelsave stamps work. Can you still get the ISIC/travelsave combo from USIT? Or do you need to buy the stamp at a train station?

Replies from people with *new* cards (valid to Dec 2003 not Dec 2002) requested.

    Cheers,
    Al.

I don't think you need a travelsave stamp at all now, AFAIK CIE will give you a discount with just your Uni/College ID card.

So this means that w/ an IYC or U26 card I'm outta luck? Or can I still get a travel discount?

    Uh, you asked about ISIC.
IYC and U26 don't have normal travel save stamps, they'll only give you a discount on rail travel. But AFAIK you can still get them
You would've found an answer quicker by just going to usit.ie ....

Yes, I did - well spotted.

I didn't say I wanted one myself. I asked because I wanted info from someone who actually knows the answer, as opposed to people who have one from last year and think it's still the same....

The relevant info on those sites is out of date unfortunately.

    Thanks for your help.
