Sopranos new series.

Yeh, i know theres another thread, but i think this might be "ooooh, controversial".

The new series is tbh, boring me a little bit. The producers have clearly gone for a very low key/ slow burn build up to the climax of the series, but i feel this has an effect similar to Fr Jacks "nitey Sleepy Snoozy Snooze" medicine.

Maybe im overreacting a little bit and i could be a little biased (I thought the first 2 series were great, but not the "BEST THING EVER TO HAPPEN TO TV" as it was touted:) )

No I am really enjoying the new series.IMO its been good from the start but it got particularly good in season 3,with more humour and so on.We are only about five episodes into the series and I think it is going along very well.Maybe you crave the violence of previous series-this series has only had one murder so far I dont believe that this series is any different from the rest in the way they do a build up to the season climax.Think about it-at the beginning of season 1 we see Junior and Tonys mother beginning to realise that they think that something should be done with him-permanently.12 odd episodes later and he survives a murder attepmt on their orders.In season 2 we find out at the beginning that Pussy is a rat-this goes on until finally at the end of the season he is found out and killed.In the early episodes of season 3 Jackie Aprile is involved in drug dealing and wannabee gangsterism which will eventually cost him his life 10 episodes in the future.The truth is that in every series they have started off with things that come to a head in the twelfth episode.I can see Chris being the main subject,or should that be casualty of the twelfth episode.The whole heroin addiction and his g/f informing to the feds is bound to have a disastorous ending for him.
Although it might be pushing it a bit-after all this would be the third consecutive series where Tony had to kill people that he cared about How about somebody he doesnt like for a change?:p

Maybe you`re not liking it because the hilarious Paulie is largely missing.If so fear not-he gets out of prison this week:)

Im enjoying the current series but I dont think its as good as the last one. Although it appears to be building up to something major........Watch this space............
Ive noticed that its has become rather 'Arty' this series..(tony sitting in the barn with the sick horse, a sheep and smoking a phat cigar- also the shoot up scene) Possible inputs from a recently graduated art college student

Besides the lack of sex its marginally getting better as the weeks slowly pass.

for some bizzare reason i never got round to watching any of the last series (3 i think) or the first episode of the current one, despite my addiction to the first 2 series.
so i can't really say if this series (4???) is better or worse than the last one.
