i've been trying to put on weight for the last 2 years,
yet the scales still hover at the 10 stone mark.
i eat more than anyone i know and i know some big eaters. ;)

so whats a good non-greasy food to put on weight, bar actually swallowing lard?

Don't weight-lifters take supplements of some kind to help them bulk up? (I don't mean steroids). I suppose if you took them, and exercised and ate a lot of normal healthy food you'd put on muscley weight instead of fatty weight, which would be nice.

Bread plain and simple White Bread with a bit of butter. Plenty of carbo's which if you dont burn turn to fat (If I remember my biology right)

I used to be the same when I was younger I was alwas around the 9.5 to 10 stone mark. No matter what I devoured and stuffed into my face I never gained weight. Then I got an office job, 4 years later I'm tring to lose weight (well no I have lost all I need to now I am jut tring to stay at that weight).

What a load of bollox, creatine is not for weight gain, its merely a legal performace enhancer. It does not affect your heart but taken in large enough doses can cause serious issues. The same would go for pretty much any other substance.

Creatine isn't really in weight gain supplements. You take it on its own and its a rip off price. It does work though and the increase in strenght means more weight lifted which works the muscles more which means more muscle growth, but you need the proteins for muscle growth.

A lot of bodybuilders take Protein supplements. Some of the best of these are Ion Exchanged Whey Protein. Its pretty good stuff but is only effective if you are lifting weights already. The body needs to be worked so that the protein can be used otherwise its just a waste.

Do not get those Mega Mass weight gain powders, they'll just make you fat.

Some of the best foods for muscle gain and weight gain I found are steak, chicken breasts, turkey, beans, fish, milk, cheese, water ( everyone needs to drink more water, the water will help your body become healthier and so will allow for easier muscle growth )

Carbs are just for energy, lots of bread will only add flab, it will not help muscle gain.

Eat more green veggies too , theres creatine in Broccoli ! :) The veg has loads of vitamins that will be used for muscle/ weight gain.

Remember too that muscles are heavier than fat so you can get some good weight gains by building muscle.

To get the maximum muscle growth you need to be in an anaerobic state. You need to be taking in more than you are burning off or equal so that the amino acids can be used by the body for muscle growth.

Getting the balance right is almost impossible. So its maximum muscle gain but you'll gain fat too or some muscle gain and stay lean. The way you go depends on how fast you want the muscle and whether you can deal with some flab.
