UKGPL Championship - Div 6 - French GP at Rouen

I got into the server a bit late and only managed 3 clear laps, I qualified 7th .. exactly .05 of a second between me and 6th and 5th places! I was disappointed with the grid place as my normal times around Rouen would have seen me in 3rd/4th. Anyways, the green flag drops and i nail the throttle, getting the jump on the Lotus sitting in 6th and screaming past him, up 1 place already, lookin good. I make a mistake on lap 3 and lose 3 places, but slowly gain them back and am back sitting in 5th on lap 16. The Ferrari in 4th is just ahead of me and I 'climb all over his gearbox' hoping to force him into a mistake, and this arrives when he outbrakes himself at the end of the back straight, and i pull into 4th. I power off after the 3rd placed Lotus and managed to get to within 2secs of him before the chequered flag.

Overall a good race, apart from 2 lowspeed muckups I kept it on the track and kept good consistant lap times, next race up is silverstone which won't really suit my ferrari as its fast and flat but I was the highest placed ferrari last nite so i'm looking to repeat that. I'm up to 7th in the Championship now, my aim is to finish in the top 6 at the end of the season, it looks attainable now.

If anyone is getting fed up off public races/wreckers/bad drivers I'd strongly advise you to join up, the practice server is passworded and everyone on it knows how to drive and is there to race properly, great fun and great racing.

you should really password the vishnu server on sunday evenings and get all the boards drivers in there.
