I quite like the current style. I never thought much of the early nineties type and the earlier ones were like they were made out of some leftover sack cloth.

I'm quite fond of the jersies pre late 1990's - there was a simpilicity yet elegant design in them. Of the new style jersies the Brandon style (as worn by Donegal, Monaghan, Longford, Waterford and the infamous kit Kerry wore against Meath last year) I hate the most and I cannot see why it has became so popular, the "swooshing" at the top of the jersy looks terrible. It's related Mourne style which Westmeath wear looks a bit more better. The Donnard with it's single V shape at the top of the jersy has a simple element to it I like, but I see no Intercounty team wearing it at the moment although the Clare Hurlers come close. The Sperrin style which has the horizontal bar across the middle of the jersey with the top bit "broken" (e.g. Derry) is nice looking but like the Donnard could lose it's fashion quickly. That's the main problem with the GAA jersies now, the design for them will become extinct in a few years unlike some of the designs from the 90's because radical changes are being made to the designs. We could end up looking back at photos of ourselves 20 years later and be thinking "What the **** were we wearing?" - and the sooner crests on the slevees disappear the better - another design con trick.

couldnt agree more. if the crests went off the sleeve it would be a whole lot better. some of them i.e, meath are horrendous. would love embroidered crsets to be introduced and simplier designs to be used. kerrys adidas effort a few years back was lovely however since then the GAA must have signed a deal with o'neills that they make the shirts for every county.
