...excuse my ignorance, but what's the fuss about TV5 on digi? I've never had the channel, not being on a cable line, so I'm wondering what's good to see on it (with leaving cert french :D )

Not much apart from news and documentaries. There a couple of other threads about with info on TV5, but can't remember if they have info on content.

Have a look at their website for programming guides etc.http://www.tv5.org

If you want to watch some French programming, but wanna have a clue bout what they're saying, watch Euronews - the news is repeated on the half hour. Watch in English first, then for the next half hour slot, switch your digibox language settings to French and you can have a better idea of what they're saying. Once you know what's going on you can relax and listen to the language better. At least that's what I find :D
