    just a general question...

ive an ABIT KT7-RAID mobo and in the BIOS it gives me the option to set the cpu bios to

various processor speeds clock speeds with 100mhz fsb's
    700/100
    750/100
    800/100 etc...
    1200/100
    >1300/100
    1400/133

does this mean i can install a athlon XP 1600 (1.4ghz) in the machiene?

also whenever i look at the socket A processor list all the processors are listed as having 200 & 266 fsb's ... is this because that they can work in ddr boards, and ddr would be 2 x 100 or 2 x 133?

I'm just wondering would a XP running at 1.4ghz or a duron running at 1.3 ghz work on the board?

    Some info:

bios revisions bios is currently dated 2001/11/07 and is the KT7-RAID not the KT7A-RAID

    cheers

Both the xp and duron will work on that board if using the xp it should be set at 1400/133

so is the 200 & 266 that are listed on komplett's pages because they would generally be put into ddr boards?

the kt7 didn't support 133 bus speeds. The kt7a came out to do that (kt133 and kt133a chipsets used respectively). So you can only use 100 bus processors.
