Running a bulliton board, someone questioned the usage of the wording "forums" ...

Anyone care to settle this discussion?

My reasoning is that the board i'm running is of american derivation and thus "forums" is acceptable.

Anyone care to shed some light on this important matter :)

An argument over whether it's "forums" or "fora" is pointless as both are, according to Websters Revised Unabridged Dictionary, acceptable plurals of the word...

    fo·rum Pronunciation Key (fôr'schwa.gifm, fomacr.gifr'-)
    n. pl. fo·rums, also fo·ra (fôr'schwa.gif, fomacr.gifr'schwa.gif)

    b. A public meeting place for open discussion.

... now let that settle it, eh? :)
