Has anyone ever come across a BAD review of the Matrix???
    If so, where??

And has anyone come across very very unfortunate names in the world of entertainment?

I have to say that the most unfortunate name, possibly EVER, has got to be "Thomas Wanker" in the Buffy credits.

    Classic! My favourite bit :D
It is the best movie except that if everyone was a vampire it would be even better. [snip]
Even though there aren't vampires in it, everyone looks like one. And they act all dead and serious, like vampires. Plus, they filmed it all in blue light like all the cool movies are, and they all wear sunglasses. So, maybe they really are vampires, but they don't say it.
I hope the sequel has vampires.

    Not as good as
One other thing that rocks is the hot girl in the movie, because she is tough. You totally know she is tough because she wears leather all the time and scowls.
The only thing I didn't like about the movie was that it said computers were bad. Maybe older computers are, but not the new pentiums. They are so cool. So are Myst and Doom.

    and the classic 14yo-ubergeeky
It gets Four Starship Enterprises out of Five.

I'd feel proud to have written that review. Obviously unless I really was a 14 year old spotty geek.

    Hehehe... Vampires...

Dunno though, I thought it was a very enjoyable film. Thankfully I didn't really read anything about it beforehand, and I managed to miss most of the trailers, so I went in not knowing what to expect.

I dont think the sequals are going to be much cop tho. Perhaps only on the "Eye-Candy" level, but most of that was exhausted in the original, I mean, what next? Double barreled bullet time or something!?

Supposedly in the next two we'll have
Scenes involving Neo fighting 100 copies of himself (or 100 Agent Smiths, I've heard both), a big car chase ignoring "the laws of physics, cap'n", stuff like that

Eye candy, like AW said. I really enjoyed the first one (like it seems, almost everyong else). It was one of those high concept movies that actually turned out quite well (usually they don't - most movies where the plot can be described in one line aren't too deep)

Off the top of my head, the most unfortunate name is Avril Whore.

I think shes on 2fm AA roadwatch or something like that.

As for a bad review of the matrix? what would you want that for?

I think i saw a Mark Cockshoot in the credits of something sometime. Greatest name ever.

I suspect she spells her name "Hoare" but your point is just as valid.:)

Wanker apparently is a common enough surname in the states.

This probably should have been two seperate threads.

One of my friends wrote a review of The Matrix quite a while ago - it's VERY tongue-in-cheek, and he hated the film - check it out :)

Theres a bloke on the end credits of home and away called Richard Horniblow. Not a problem. however if people called him Dick...

When I saw it first I was blown away.

When I watched it the second time I concluded it was crap. The first time you tend not to notice the flaws because you haven't a clue whats going on but on the 2nd viewing you notice how cringeworthy the acting is and the look-I'm-wearing-shades posturing.

It did wonderful things with the action sequences but the acting and dialogue is awful. Definately not a sci-fi classic.

I still think Woodcock is a worse surname than hoare, timberwilly.
The matrix is already starting to look dated, give it five years and the cgi will look very dated, still a top notch movie though.
