It's rarely ever a better course just different points!

Look at the course content yourself on there websites it wont differ that much more :)

If you learn Java in both courses you will learn Java and not sort of like ****e java what!

me 3 years ago...i applied for both courses but didnt get enough points for UL so i whent to LIT.The courses are very much the same in LIT we do Java and RPG IV in UL they do C and java [not sure on this but ill find out as a friend of mine is in 3 year in Comp sys in UL] nhere is good and bad points about collages. In LIT you will have about 30 hands on hours [lectures+tutorals+practials] in UL you could have as little as 11, but Universitys allways have less hands on hours which you might think is great but more hours in collage=less study on your own.The staff in LIT are SO friendly they really try to help as much as they can [they even donate a % of there wages to a fund to help out students in finintial difficulty] they really take you by the hand but in UL it is up to you what you do if u never go into to a lecture they dont care they will still leave you sit the exams in LIT you have to attend 60% of lectures to be let sit an exam.UL do have better computer facilites but this rapidely changing there is 1000 pcs for 3000 students which is a higher ratio than UL.The best points about UL are that it offers work placement which really helps in getting a job also they do more modern languages [LIT does RPG IV which IMO is on its way out] hope this helps you

i'm not 100% sure what programming languages they do in both colleges u could check that on the websites. if u do any programming course its going to be tough. comp sys in ul is a hard course. the work experience is a great advantage to have. if you do software development in lit u get work experience too. it depends aswell if you want to do a straight degree course. if u do applied computing in lit you have the option of cert, dioploma degree. the other courses are four year degrees. at least with the cert dioploma degree route u have a qualifaication after two and three years.
