I thought he was a bit wooden in Minority Report. I think that's the only thing I've seen him in.

possibly the most arrogant ponce ive ever had the misfortune of coming across. at the premier of harts war in dublin he wanted all the posters taken down because his face was in the background. i know because i was working in the cinema it happened in. arsehole imho

Ive never seen any film he was in but TBH even though he got so many gizillion for minority report and is well known in the states he is virtually unknown over here.I mean how many people do you know who would even know what he looks like?I dunno what hes like as an actor-im merely saying that its weird that he probably walks down the street in LA and everybody wants his autograph and he walks down o connel street and sees 2 people whispering"Where have i seen him before?"Must be weird :)

Neither..... he just a pretty good actor.

I'm looking forward to seeing Phone Booth (whenever it comes out!) ... looks like an interesting movie for him.

i know which one i'd prefer! ~(in case you couldn't guess, it was the 'LA' scenario.

Yer, he is meant to be a pretty big wankstein.

Thats what happens when you shoot to stardom too fast, it messes with your mind.

I'd still shag him either way :D

I've only seen him in Tigerland and he was very good in that film. He is suppost to be a git in real life but then again most of the main Hollywood stars are.

    Gandalf.

Have a mate who did an acting course with him. They didnt get on. But he did say he was a fine actor and im inclined to agree, its just he hasnt found the proper role to show it yet. Maybe he'll be great in Daredevil.

Good actor I think. He was funny when he was on the late late show.

Hes not playing the lead role in Daredevil but a bad guy role.

I seen him in ballykissangle but cant seem to remember how his acting was. In all fairness for the amount of cash he's earning per movie, which is roughly $5m, would you honestly give a **** about what role you played, i know i certainly wouldnt. I'd shag every single member of boards for $5m, yeah thats right.

I saw him in Minority Report and Tigerland...
I'm very impressed with his acting skills to-date.

His accent can get a little confused at times, but that only serves to remind us that he's from the emerald isle (brings a tear to my eye!).

As for being a big-headed arrogant git: I think they're probably essential traits to succeed in Hollywood. Timid shy people don't tend to get a look in the door... Besides, what does it matter? I don't think I'll be meeting him down the local pub for a pint any time soon, and it's nice to see Irish actors doing well in Tinseltown.

I first saw him on RTE in the mini-series Falling for a Dancer, based on a Deirdre Purcell book I think. He only had a small part but he was very good in it.
Since then he's got brilliant roles with Tom Cruise, Al Pacino and Bruce Willis. I didn't like Hart's War that much, I was expecting a war movie and it turned out to be a court-room drama, the usual predictable stuff but imho Farrell carried the movie and out-acted Bruce Willis. He was good in Minority Report also, though I don't think the role really suited him all that well.
His best role so far was in Tigerland, that was a brilliant movie and he was fantastic in it.
So as an actor I reckon he is top class but as a person I'd say he got too famous too fast and it's affecting his head.
