Anyone here have any experience with Pocket PC PDAs? Can you hook up a regular printer via USB to one? Do they need special drivers, or does it work fine with the windows version supplied with pocket pcs?

Or, if you know of a site with this kind of information -

    thanks

Hi LoBo, there is no native way to print from a PocketPC but you can get additional software (links below).

There are several InfraRed printers on the market (mostly portable models from HP and Canon). There are also InfraRed and Bluetooth adapters that can be attached to the parallel port of printers. However be sure to check out the compatibility of the adapter with your PocketPC and that the Printing software supports them. The application vendor will be able to let you know what ones they have successfully tested with.

Here are two products that would enable you to print via InfraRed, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

    PrintPocketCE
Print Pocket Excel spreadsheets, Pocket Word documents & Emails

    PrintBoy
Print from PocketWord, Excel and e-mails.

    HTH,
    Brian.
