I was at the European launch of a very nice bit of kit today...

    It's a Redline AN-50 (have a lookhere )

It dose point-to-point wireless links LOS and Non-LOS. It cah get up to around 56mb/s of thru put over distances up up 30 miles!

The demo today was just under 11k non-los with around 30 mb/s thru put. It opperates at 5.8 GHz so its not your average bit of wireless kit..... not cheap at around €10-12K for a pair of units. It functions as a bridge so its a no problem to intergrate in to existing setups.

The next version of it will probably be one of the first 802.16 devices to be launched....

I also saw a 80.11b setup with an omni-antena which was getting a couple of k around the town (and they were using a repeater to get over some local hills extending the range in to couple of miles!)

Some other tasty bits of kit included a USB VOIP phone and a couple of Tablet PC's.
