The following is from the Irish Critical Mass mailing list. I saw some keen cyclists posting here so this is a way to help promote cycling in the city.

    Hello Everyone

The powers that be made a flop of Car Free Day last
year, so this time we should lend a hand. The Dublin
Cycling Campaign is organising a protest at the
dreadful facilities for cyclists at Connolly Station.

People have suggested that we have a Critical Mass
Cycle to coincide with this, especially since it’s Car
Free Day. The Critical Mass will be at a NEW TIME:
    Sunday, 22 September, 1.15pm and a

    NEW PLACE:
The junction of Talbot Street and Amien Street,
    Opposite Connolly Station.

There is a semi-pedestrianised area there where we
    can gather.

I'm disappointed in the Independent's and Irish Times' coverage of Sunday's three events.

There was EU Car Free Day, which got one article, Critical Mass that got nothing and Reclaim the Streets that got a separate article.

There was no attempt, or every attempt, made to make no connection between the three events - all three of which fed into each other on the day to make a kind of uber-protest.

Every event was successful in its own way but more successful as a whole, but the press has deliberately declined to point this out.
