In 1988, Tom Petty recorded his first album without The Heartbreakers. The result was a 12-track pop masterpiece that yielded 4 hit singles. Sick of the infighting with his regular band, Tomo got together with producer Jeff lynne and a bunch of LA's finest session musicians and recorded an album in his own time, session that were punctuated with the recording of The Traveling Wilburys Vol 1. And yes, you kow more Tom Petty tracks than you think you do. Join us at 8pm this Thursday on Phantom for a trawl through Mini-Dylan's best album to date, including studio versions of the tracks as well as demos, b-sides and out-takes. Nothin' like a bit of USA West-Coast late-80's rock to warm the bones on a cold September evenin'.

If there's any albums you'd like to see featured on The Album Archive, e-mail me at robt@phantomfm.com.

    Regards

    Rob
