I heard, on 2fm about an hour ago, that Schneider TM & Kid606 are performing at the Templebar Music Centre on the 22nd of September. Couldn't confirm this on the tbmc.ie site though.

    It's listed on www.eventguide.ie

Should be a good gig, if a little pricey compared to the last time Kid 606 played in Doran's.

    SCHNEIDER TM + KID 606

    Spirit — Monday 23rd September

The brilliant Schneider TM brings his the dark electronic pulses of his new album, 'Zoomer.' "You're a kid, looking up at the sky, getting your head around infinity, space, stars, life. Scheider TM has the same spiralling sensation. He has harnessed the infinity of electronic sound. Awesome."

    From this months' Slate

"While this is a fine electronica double bill, it is also a prime example of the greedy carry-on you will see from agents and promoters at the highest level. Tiny independant operators Neuromantek have run a modest but successful electro and leftfield night at the Thomas House for nearly six months, buoyed by a hardcore of followers and some of Dublins' most interesting new DJs. Having cobbled their pennies together with like-minds from Front End Synthetics, they approached Kid 606's agent and secured a date from him, headlining the Project Arts Centre on September 19. A few days later they found out that MCD had contacted the agent and poached Kid 606 to play second fiddle to ( good but not in the same league ) Schneider TM at Spirit four days later. It's difficult to tell who the f uc k will be at this gig, as the money-hounds will have fiercely consolidated Dublin fan base with this move. For the record, both acts make challenging electronic dance music, right on the edge of what's danceable...."
