search limitation

    Unless im doing something completely wrong, i cant seem to search for anything less than 4 characters..

    For instance say i want to search for a top ten jokes list about something.. i search for top ten jokes... etc but i cant do that as top and ten are 3 letters.. so i have to delete top and ten and im left with Jokes... eh nice one.. every shaggin joke ever posted!

    Also lets say i wanted to do a search for all posts say relating to God... i cant... or any other 3 letter word.. I can understand 1 or 2 letters but 3 is a but much.. any chance this can be changed?

    It's a technical thing Saruman, it can be changed in the backend but if they did the search indexes would be huge, and searches would be slow as eff. I suppose they could knock it down to two for a day though, see what happens. I wouldn't, but then I'm an unaccomodating old sh1te.

    A limit to two letters and a block on common words like the would surely have the same effect. Yu can't search for dvd!
