No, it isn't what you think...

I'm just here to say I'm back.

For those curious, the three weeks in France were... interesting. I have to say I found the French more 'sexually open' than Theresa. I recall sitting on the metro while an eighty year old man had his had up the skirt of a twenty year old...

Then there's the family tour from the Basilique of the Sacred Heart. It's a tour that goes a repeated circle, stopping twice: once outside the stylish Romanesque House of God and then opposite the MacDonalds half-way down Paris' redlight district... I liked the lawn ornament store (new meaning to Santa Claus coming down the chimney). Of course, there were family-run grocers, the Ritz restaurants and the Chinese takeaways interspaced.

Still, it wasn't all public exposure and great food a decent prices - I spent a rather boring two weeks in Biarritz. I read Frank Herbert's Dune and God Emperor of Dune as well as the Prelude to Dune trilogy by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert (House Atreides, House Harkonnen and House Corrino). Great books... Dune was the best book I ever read.

So, I toured Paris and saw the sites - the Basalique de Sacre Couer, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, Champs d'Elysses. I have to recommend the Lyon Restaurant in Paris, just turn left at the 3D Porno Theatre... :D

I got back last week, in time to catch the last hour of 24, 11 pm to midnight. Masterful. I was also frightfully disappointed by Austin Powers III, the only higlight being the quotes below.

So, thus ends another episode in the eventful, Fox Show 'The Life of Darren'. If you're still there, you either skipped my boring rant above, are hoping I'll post some photos from outside the restaurant, or actually give a damn.

So, for fear of being sanctioned for innuendo, I need to justify my title...

Er, your favourite Al Pacino movie?

    Mine, the Godfather...

I apologise, you got the wrong idea. In "what the hell am I doing in France" you said they weren't as 'sex crazed'. I misquoted. I was saying I found them more sexually open than you found them to be.

    My bad. Crossed lines.

And I just sat JC English... :(
