    Mr Tesco and Mr Ryanair and Mr Buy4now etc etc.....if people dont have broadband available at the right price will WILL miss out.

    It seems to be just another press release rehash from the dot.bomb era. I guess if one company had to be blamed for turning Ireland into a country with an infrastructure that third world countries laugh at it is Eircom. These tosser 'consultancies' have to pump out garbage figures like that to get their press releases noticed.

    Remember the stats are not broken down between those who purchase/shop online from work and those who purchase/shop online from home.
    I for one do shop regularly online, and the majority of the time i browse sites is at work not home because of the cost of being online.
    My purchases have increased also because of convenience and the cheaper prices abroad than those in rip-off ireland !
