are the many SW books and computer games out there good for the saga?

    I think its good to see some continuity after the movies many believe it`s a bad thing what do you think.

    Difficult question to answer.Like any form of media,the games and novels come in two form's,the good and the bad.

    Games.......
    The earlier days saw some great SW games like the X-Wing and Tie Fighter series,the Jedi Knight 1 +2 series of games and some of the racers and shooter's on the consoles.Sadly the later stuff is mosty crap and is just rushed out to cash in on the franchise like tha last Jedi Knight game and the rubbish thats coming out on console now.Lucasart's used to make some of the best games going but once Star Wars started to make a come back all that skill went out the window to be replaced by the muck were stuck with today,all in the name of profit.


    Novels........
    Like any form of the written word,some people are better at it than others.A SW novel is an easy way for a hack to make money due to the vast and hungry fan base.Some writer's like Timithy Zann has enriched the SW universe but most are badly written books just slighty out of the gutter thanks to the rich universe and characters that other people have created.Hell most of the later writers just add to what Zann has done,and seem incapable of doing any more that just bolting on a crappy story that wouldnt even have been publish in the original SW comic from Marvel.


    So I supose the answer is we gotta take the good with the bad but it just sucks the the ratio of good to bad to so vast and this is once case where I rooting for the good guy's.

    Like every good franchise there is a lot of good stuff and lot of stuff that should never have seen the light of day, some of the books should get you into any local burning of books free of charge.

    Most the games met a high standard, after all their mostly made by lucasarts. Although a lot of the games don't have a wide spread appeal to the general public, such as SW: Supremacy there cool enough.

    Tie Fighter rocks!
